ME! I'm with you! Oh, wait, I already did. And I HATE to be the one to break it to you, but Missouri, or K.C. ain't so bad in comparison sometimes. I went to the doctor today and they had Today's Christian Woman magazine. I almost picked it up, just to amuse myself. But then I decided not to poison my brain any more than it already is by living here every day. Come here and live with me! Illinois NEEDS you!
Recently, I have had the same inclination: Get the fuck out of MO. Really, after living in Chi-town, I feel crushed under the weight of "Midwestern Family Values" sometimes. I want to flee.
But then I remind myself: This is where my work is at. I could be happy and comfortable in a progressive city/state/country. I have had that experience. But I think right now my task in the universe is to stick it out and find that community Here and make Here what it needs to be for me and for everyone else.
